ABSTRACT
We present our results from a cross-correlation of the PSCZ catalogue with the ROSAT X-ray catalogues. We find that most of the objects follow the general trends seen in other X-ray selected samples of IRAS sources. However we find a few objects with extreme properties such as very low or high L(X)/L(IR) or extreme IRAS colours. We obtained optical spectra for these objects with the 90" FLWO and the 1.3m Skinakas telescopes. We use these results in order to study the general properties of each class of galaxies and address the nature of the extreme cases.
