1. SHORT NEWS

- The next issue of Hipparchos newsletter is ready and will be be sent to
the postal address of all members by next week. Check your mailboxes!

- We would like to point out that, among the invited speakers of the
Symposium on Light Pollution (mentioned in paragraph 4), are J.M.
Pasachoff, J. Pereira Osorio and J. Percy.

University of Ioannina announced a new Assistant Professor or Lecturer
position in the area of "Solar and Space Physics".

3. MEMBERSHIP FEES
------------------
In view of the forthcoming 4th Hellenic Astronomical Conference, at
Samos, we would like to remind you that the membership fees set by the
General Assembly of the Society, four years ago, are:
Ordinary Members : GRD 10000.-
Associate Members: GRD 10000.-
Junior Members : GRD 5000.-
Members who have fulfilled their finanancial obligations are entitled a
50% reduction in the registration fees of the Conference.
