We would like to congratulate Dr. Eleni Vardoulaki, postdoctoral fellow at the University of Crete, who has been awarded a postdoctoral position at the Argelander-Institute for Astronomy at the University of Bonn.

We would like to congratulate our newly elected associate member Mrs. Anastasia Tezari, who was recently awarded the Outstanding Student Poster Award of the European Geosciences Union (EGU).

 
2. Greek Astronomers Dinner at the IAU GA in Honolulu

We would like to invite all members of the Hellenic Astronomical Society participating in the IAU GA to an informal dinner in Honolulu next week. The dinner is organized by our GC Member, Dr. Alceste Bonanos. A doodle poll has been set up to select the date that suits most people:

3. IMPRS Call for PhDs in Astrophysics

The International Max Planck Research School on Astrophysics (IMPRS) in Garching/Munich (Bavaria, Germany) is soliciting applications for its PhD program in Astrophysics, offering about 25 PhD positions. The deadline for applications is November 15, 2015. More information can be found at the graduate schools' web-site:
