The newly elected Governing Council of Hel.A.S. convened on July 4
2002 and appointed the officers of the Society for the term 2002-2004.

The web pages of the Institute of Astronomy and Astrophysics at
the National Observatory of Athens (http://www.astro.noa.gr)
were recently updated to a fresh and improved look. They provide
a wealth of useful information on the IAA and its activities,
including the development of the new 2.3m telescope. You are
encouraged to spend a few minutes and take a quick look!
3. JOB OPENING

A new position of "Researcher D" [Dokimos Ereunitis D'] in the
"Observational Astrophysics" has been opened at the Institute of
Astronomy and Astrophysics of the National Observatory of Athens.
