1. LAST CALL/EXTENSION FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION IN HelAS CONFERENCE
------------------------------------------------------------------
The already more than 100 excellent quality submitted abstracts,
together with the top plenary speakers and the two timely Symposia
on Greece/ESA and the Future of Greek Astronomy are the first
encouraging signs that the Kefallinia (8-11 September 2005) 7th
HelAS conference is truly going to be a memorable event, a must
for all our members. Hence, in an effort to accomodate late
registration and abstract submission to this Conference, the SOC
decided to extend the deadline for electronic submission of
abstracts and registration to Wednesday June 15th.
We urge the members of HELAS, especially the Junior ones, to enroll.
**Financial support for most young applicants may be provided.**
No other extension will be given and immediately after this date
the scientific program will be circulated.
For more information on Kefallinia, Travel, Accomodation and
Subsistence grants (for young researchers), as well as information
on the Proceedings and publications, or other conference reated
questions, pls visit:
