We would like to congratulate Dr. Minas Karamanis who has completed his PhD thesis entitled "Bayesian computation in astronomy: novel methods for parallel and gradient-free inference" at the University of Edinburgh (UK) under the supervision of Prof. Florian Beutler and Prof. John Andrew Peacock, and was also awarded the 2023 Winton Award for the best astronomy thesis. Dr. Karamanis has since moved as a postdoctoral fellow to the Berkeley Center for Cosmological Physics, at the University of California, Berkeley (USA).
