1. SHORT NEWS

- A new web page providing information about all optical telescopes
in Greece with a primary mirror diameter greater than 0.5m is now
available. You may access it directly at:

2. MEMBERS IN NEW POSITIONS

We would like to congratulate Dr. Vicky Kalogera (currently at the
Harvard Center for Astrophysics) who was recently elected Assistant
Professor at the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Northwestern
University (in Chicago, IL, USA) and will be moving there in late
summer 2001.
