1. THE NEW COUNCIL AND AUDITORS OF HEL.A.S

The new Council and the Auditors of Hel.A.S. were elected during the
elections of the Society, held on June 2, 1998:

5. FINANCIAL ISSUES
-------------------
The Council of Hel.A.S. has set aside a small amount of money for
partial coverage of expenses for participating members of the Society in
JENAM-98. Enquiries and applications should be addressed to the Secretary
of the Society.
The membership fees set by the General Assembly of the Society on June 2,
1998 remain the same as for the past four years:
Ordinary Members : GRD 10000.-
Associate Members: GRD 10000.-
Junior Members : GRD 5000.-

o Profile ADA-1
An ADA specialist for reviewing orbit calculation software.
o Profile ADA-2
An ADA programmer for Air Traffic Control Applications.
o Profile HP-C++
Good knowledge of HP-UX 9&10, C, C++, Pro*C (Oracle) and McCabe
Visual 2000 Toolset The task will consist in migrating an operational
platform from HP-UX 9 to 10 making sure that all applications running
on it (written in Cm C++ and Pro*C) are Year 2000 compliant.
(duration 6 months)
o Profile HP-IPC
Very good knowledge of C and C++ (Tcl/Tk and Perl an advantage)
Good knowledge of UNIX (HP-UX 9.x and 10.x) IPC and experience in writing
code on HP-UX using IPC.
Experience in UNIX IPC design.
Experience on writing UNIX shell scripts.
Good knowledge of UNIX operating system administration (HP-UX 9.x and 10.x)
o Profile VAX-Real-Time
Good knowledge of VMS system programming and VMS concepts, specifically:
-ASTs
-Timers
-Event flags
-Global sections (implicit and explicit mappings)
-Programming with DCL routines
-Good knowledge of VAX Fortran and/or DEC Fortran
Experience with satellites would be helpful
o Profile DEC-C
Good knowledge of DEC C
Good knowledge of Dec Windows Motif, particularly in a VMS environment.
o Profile DEC-Pascal (4 persons, 6 months)
Good knowledge of VMS system and DEC-Pascal
