2. 15th Conference of Hel.A.S.

The 15th conference of Hel.A.S. took place the second week of July. We would like to thank the sponsors of the Conference, namely the Region of Western Greece, the University of Patras, the Institute of Astrophysics - FORTH, the National Observatory of Athens and the Academy of Athens who supported the conference. We would also like to thank the 227 registered participants affiliated with institutions from 23 countries, in addition to Greece, who presented their exciting scientific results and contributed to lively discussions. The record number of participants was likely due to the fact that the conference was virtual. During the conference, the 40th General Assembly (GA) of the Society convened on Tuesday, July 6 2021. A number of issues were discussed during the GA and 25 new members joined the Society bringing the total number of members to 292. We would like to welcome them once more to the Society and we look forward to meeting their expectations working all together for improving astronomy in Greece. As usual all members are strongly encouraged to review the minutes of the GA.

Please note that the oral contributions of the conference are available online grouped by session as playlists in the YouTube channel of the Society, in particular at
